Sis. Anie’s Accident Update

Please continue to pray for Sister Anie on her road to recovery. She has been discharged from the hospital and is being cared for by some loving church members.

Sis. Anie injured her neck  last Sunday. She has successfully undergone surgery and is joyful in spirit. We will keep you posted on her recovery.  Let's be in prayer!

Help those in need of food assistance by donating canned, unexpired food items. Collections bins are located in the Church Foyer and at the East and West entrances to the Sanctuary. Donations will be accepted until February 29, 2024.

UREC Academy

UREC Academy is sponsoring the Pre-Law Institute plus ACT Prep from February 20, 2024 through May 4, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the campus of Southern University.  To REGISTER, please sign-up at urecbr.com/PRELAW2024. 

This program is open to all High School Students and it's FREE TO PARTICIPATE.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.

The American Baptist Churches of the South (ABCOTS) is hosting its 54th Annual Session/Conference on April 30th-May 2nd.

Location: Richmond Marriott Hotel, Richmond, VA

Please obtain registration forms from the office and submit your forms to the office by Sunday, March 10th.

GNG’S BLACK HISTORY EVENT

Lift Every Voice: An Ode to Black History and Taste Fest “African Americans and the Arts” 

Join us as we celebrate our history through literature, art, music, food, and fellowship.

When: Saturday, February 24, 2024 

Time: 11am - 2 pm

Where: GNG Life Center 3328 Adams Ave. B.R., LA 70802

We will be joined by Brandon Lewis of LSU Arts Museum, Heritage Choir, Southern University Gospel Choir, and more.

*An Art Exhibit will feature art from GNG’s young people and others. Also, a special exhibit of the Baton Rouge Bus Boycott led by Rev. Dr. T.J. Jemison of Mount Zion First Baptist Church -Baton Rouge*

You can support the Black History event by donating artwork or a food dish. Please contact Bro. Rice at the church office to make arrangements by Monday, February 19th  at 4:30 p.m.
